Related Management has a rare opportunity for a qualified District Manager with Affordable Housing experience to oversee a multi-site portfolio of 17 sites, totaling 900 units, located throughout Brooklyn; Astoria, Queens; and Two Bridges, Manhattan.


The ideal candidate must be a dynamic professional with a proven history of results, including asset preservation, budget performance, industry compliance, and effective leadership. The District Manager interfaces with ownership and senior leadership to direct the performance of the assigned assets. He/she is responsible for practicing, disseminating and reinforcing to front-line staff the Related Management philosophy of respect-based property and personnel management to achieve objectives.


The District Manager’s tasks include, but are not limited to the following:

  • Managing operating budget and exercising cost controls
  • Conducting monthly financial reporting and analysis
  • Supervise all site accounts payables and receivables
  • Supervising day-to-day building maintenance operations
  • Managing vacant unit turnover process and collaborating with leasing department, brokers and recertification specialist(s) for effective leasing
  • Assuring compliance with company policies and all HUD, Fair Housing, and Equal Employment Opportunity regulations
  • Fostering excellent resident relations
  • Conducting routine site inspections
  • Hiring and developing talent

  • 5+ years of Property Management and Affordable Housing experience
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong leadership, supervisory and organizational skills
  • Understanding of operating statements and financial budgets required
  • Experience with Yardi and RealPage OneSite (or similar software program)
  • Ability to answer emergency calls, as required, in the evening hours, weekends and on holidays
  • Ability to travel and work from site-offices
