Responsibilities

The Lease Administration group is responsible for the lease management functions for the commercial properties of Related. These responsibilities include abstracting and maintaining critical lease information in our ERP System with accuracy. The role of the Lease Administrator is to perform the Lease Administration functions for high end commercial assets. This role involves billing and collections activities, reporting lease data, as well as developing and fostering relationships with commercial tenants.

 

  • Abstracting commercial office and retail leases
  • Prepare and Generate reports for Operations and Management
  • Preparation of Billing / Credit Memos for Tenant Accounts
  • Review and Provide Variance Explanations on Monthly Recurring Charges
  • Prepare the annual Operating Expense and Tax Reconciliations
  • Billing of monthly charges
  • Sending monthly statement and invoices to tenants
  • Collection of tenant sales
  • Resolve collections disputes with tenants
  • Assist the Accountants with Monthly Income and Expense Variance Comments
  • Assist on special projects and assignments

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Accounting, Finance or relevant work experience
  • 5+ years of Commercial Lease Administration experience 
  • Understanding and ability to interpret Office and Retail leases
  • Strong verbal and writing skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel & Outlook)
  • JD Edwards experience a plus
